We provide general housing advice & advocacy, short term accommodation referrals if possible to local authorities and housing schemes e.g. hostels, co-ops, social or supported housing. Follow-up resettlement support with home visits and key working sessions, basic provisions if available and tenancy support. To refer yourself or a service user for assistance please download, complete and email or post Gems Referral Form

For information on issues relating to homelessness, contact your local homelessness forum. If you think you may be put into a homeless situation it is always best to register with your local council housing department in the first instance.

Both Hackney and Islington have developing forums for statutory and voluntary sector partnership working. Hackney Single Homeless and Rough Sleepers Forum is now run by a Voluntary Sector liaison officer at London Borough of Hackney. Islington Homeless Forum, previously chaired by Luton (St Mungo's) is now chaired by Savvas Panas (Pilion Trust). For information on drop-in centres contact Olga at oeruk@yahoo.co.uk.
